Passport
All travellers must have a valid passport that is valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the scheduled return date of the trip and should have a minimum of three blank pages available. A passport can be applied for at your nearest Department of Home Affairs office. Travellers with foreign nationality passports, who do not have a South African passport, will be required to have one of the following documents valid for 6 months after the return date:Unabridged birth certificate
Minor travellers (under the age of 18 years) require an Unabridged Birth Certificate to travel outside the borders of South Africa. The Unabridged Birth Certificate states the child’s name at birth, along with the details ( parents’ full names and surname as well as their ID numbers) of both the biological parents of the child. An Unabridged Birth Certificate can be applied for at your nearest Department of Home Affairs office.
