Day 1: Overnight flight to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Day 2: Upon arrival transfer to your hotel and enjoy a bit of leisure time. Later in the evening, discover the dark side of Edinburgh on one of the famous ghost walks in the Old Town.
Day 3: Today you will travel to Ambleside. Start your day off with an exciting guided tour of the impressive Edinburgh Castle! make your way to the Royal Mile! In the afternoon you are off to the Lake District! On arrival check in to your accommodation.
Day 4: Kick off the day with a walk the ‘Wordsworth Trail’ from Grasmere to Rydal Mount. Have a guided tour and Poetry Reading in Rydal Mount. You will have the opportunity to enter Wordsworth’s House for a guided tour of the interior and gardens. Enjoy some of Grasmere’s famous gingerbread. Later this afternoon, enjoy some leisure time in the quaint town of Ambleside!
Day 5: Take a tour to the Bronte Parsonage Museum and thereafter a guided walk through the town viewing all the main sights of the Bronte Era. Transfer to Stratford-upon-Avon where you will overnight. Enjoy visits to the birthplace of William Shakespeare as well as Anne Hathaway’s Cottage! Enjoy a Shakespeare play at the Royal Shakespeare Company!
Day 6: This morning you will be going to visit the beautiful Warwick Castle. Later you will transfer to Oxford to enjoy a guided walking tour of Oxford with a local guide as well as entrance to a university college!
Day 7: This morning you will transfer to Great Missenden. Today you have an entrance to the ever celebrated, Roald Dahl Museum! Enjoy an exciting visit comprising of a full guided tour and a Literacy Workshop in Miss Honey’s classroom. Transfer to Bristol, on arrival check into your accommodation.
Day 8: First on the agenda is the beautiful city of Bath! Whilst there, enjoy a visit to the Romans Baths. Later today enjoy a tour of Jane Austen’s House and Museum in Chawton! Transfer back to Bristol to spend the night.
Day 9: After breakfast, transfer to one of the world’s wonders and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe; Stonehenge. Onward to London. Once in London, brush shoulders with the rich and famous as you visit Madame Tussaud’s!
Day 10: After breakfast, enjoy a breath taking panoramic tour of London with a local guide, taking in all the main sights, finishing off with the London Eye! This afternoon, enjoy a spot of shopping at Harrods! This evening, enjoy a West End Show!
Day 11: This morning, enjoy a guided visit to the Globe Theatre for a theatre tour! Thereafter enjoy some leisure time for last minute shopping. Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Johannesburg.
Day 12: Arrive at O.R Tambo International Airport.
