Day 1: Depart from Johannesburg on your flight to Venice.
Day 2: Upon arrival you will be met by a local Travel and Sport representative. From here you will board a private motor boat and transfer to your Venice Hostel. After check-in, proceed to St. Mark square for some time at leisure in Venice.
Day 3: Today you will to St. Mark via a private boat. You will be met by a local guide for a half day guided walking tour including famous sights such as St. Mark Basilica, the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sights. Early afternoon transfer back to your hostel to collect your luggage and continue to Venice coach terminal at Tronchetto. Here you will be transferred to Padua. Check-in and time at leisure before dinner at your hostel or nearby restaurant within walking distance.
Day 4: Breakfast at your hostel. This morning is at leisure to explore Padua on your own. Your Tour Manager will give directions and instructions to enjoy the city and not miss the major highlights. In the afternoon, transfer to a local Rugby club for your first friendly match against local opposition. After the game you will enjoy some post-match hospitality with your hosts.
Day 5: After breakfast, transfer to Modena whose extraordinary beauties like the Cathedral and Piazza Grande are UNESCO World Heritage sights. Modena is also home to one of Italy’s most famous brands, Ferrari. Enjoy a guided tour of the “Museo Ferrari” in Maranello. Afternoon transfer to a local Rugby club for your second friendly match against a local opposition. Later this afternoon you will arrive in Florence where you will be staying the night. Dinner at the Florence Hard Rock Café.
Day 6: Embark on guided tour of Florence by a local guide. Start off at the Gothic style Duomo and see the impressive Brunelleschi Dom, the Giotto Bell Tower and the Romanesque Baptistery. Thereafter visit to Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio and the basilica of the Holy Cross. Afternoon transfer to a local Rugby club for your second friendly match against a local opposition. After the game you will enjoy some post-match hospitality with your hosts.
Day 7: Today you will be travelling to Rome! En route you will stop in Pisa to visit the beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli and see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa! Enjoy a bit of free time before traveling on to Rome. Enjoy a Pizza dinner at a local Pizzeria.
Day 8: After breakfast you will be introduced to the history of Rome with a guided tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. In the afternoon transfer to a local Rugby club for your third friendly match against a local opposition. After the game you will enjoy some post-match hospitality with your hosts.
Day 9: Breakfast at your hostel and check-out. Leave your luggage at the hostel storage and enjoy a guided bike tour to see famous spots of Rome like the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Piazza Navona. With your bike you will cross Rome districts belonging to different ages as Middle age, Renaissance and Baroque. Enjoy a bit of free time before collecting your luggage and transferring to the airport for your flight back to SA.
Day 10: Arrive in South Arica!
